On 1st September 1975 Andrew and Isabelle Burt formed AIB Electrical Wholesale (Glasgow) Ltd. From very humble beginnings under the Railway Bridge on the Broomielaw, to Gourock Street on the South Side of Glasgow to our existing premises in 1997 at 161 – 181 Whitefield Road, Govan, Glasgow G51 2SD.
These premises not only allowed us to welcome Customers with our Private Parking Facility but also made Deliveries more acceptable with our own Back Entrance situated at our Warehouse.
Andrew Kennedy Burt, the son of Andy and Isabelle was proud to become the Managing Director of AIB in 2008 a role he has excelled at over the years, growing the Business from strength to strength. With Andy’s Managerial Skills a tremendous workforce consisting of Internal Sales Representatives, Internal Buyers, Lighting Engineer, Business Development Managers, On Site Accounts Department, Store Manager who runs our extensive warehouse and our Fleet of Drivers who Deliver daily with our own Volkswagen Crafters throughout the whole of Scotland and Northern England. AIB as a Business has become a major Success, so much so that six years ago we had to extend our warehouse.
