Lighting Design

The AIB Lighting Design service is provided by a team that is fully LIF qualified and with over 30 years’ experience in the lighting industry all designs are developed using industry-standard lighting design packages.

AIB offer this design service for both New Build and existing projects.

After discussion with the client to establish their requirements we will put forward a suitable proposal for the project using Luminaires from the entire lighting marketplace, including but not limited to luminaires from Thorn Lighting, Bell Lighting, NVC, LEDVANCE along with many others.

We are also able to provide a site survey facility to survey existing lighting, for both normal and emergency lighting, and submit recommendations on what work is required to bring the installation up to present standards (particularly for Emergency lighting as non-compliance could result in the premises being closed down until such time as the Emergency lighting is brought up to standard)

Any lighting design proposals put forward will be compliant with the latest relevant design standards i.e. CIBSE Lighting Guides and BS – EN standards, presently BS EN 12464 – 1:2011 and SLL Code for Lighting (2012) for internal lighting, for Emergency lighting BS EN 50172:2004/BS 5266-1: 2016.

We can also advise on Energy-saving methods, including lighting controls from Lutron, CP Electronics B.E.G. along with others, and where requested provide a Return on Investment calculation and to supply information on any funding sources available for energy-saving projects.
